Is Classic Black oil-soluble, as required for chocolate?
No. It is a water-soluble liquid coloring (water- and glycerin-based): it is suitable for buttercream, icing, fondant, and ganache, but does not mix with couverture chocolate or pure fat. To color chocolate, use a powdered oil-soluble coloring.
What is the maximum recommended dosage for Classic Black?
The indicated maximum dosage is 4.2 g/kg. Adjust it gradually using the dropper tip to control the intensity of the shade.
Does Classic Black require any special precautions?
