Wilton - Moss Green Gel Food Coloring
Moss Green Gel Food Coloring
Concentrated moss green coloring for fondant, icing, and buttercream
Wilton Moss Green gel food coloring lets you precisely adjust the color intensity, from a pastel shade to a rich tone, without thinning your mixture. Its grayer, more nuanced shade than classic leaf green creates a natural finish reminiscent of moss or cactus.

Recommended uses
- Fondant and marzipan: knead for 5 to 8 minutes, then let rest for 30 to 60 minutes for the final color
- Buttercream and royal icing: add at the end of whipping and mix for 2 minutes at medium speed
- Suitable for botanical decorations, fondant cacti, and subtle plant-inspired backgrounds
- It can also be diluted in a small amount of water for airbrushing or painting on dried fondant
Measure with the tip of a toothpick and incorporate gradually: the color generally darkens after resting for 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the medium. This coloring contains one or more azo dyes (see the composition above). In accordance with European regulations, their consumption may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

Frequently asked questions
How much coloring is needed for a pastel shade?
A toothpick tip of coloring per 500 g of fondant or buttercream is generally enough for a pastel shade; increase gradually for a more intense color.
Is this gel coloring suitable for chocolate?
No, this gel is formulated for water-based or emulsified fat-based preparations (fondant, icing, and cream). For chocolate, use an oil-soluble coloring instead.
What is the difference between this and Leaf Green?
Moss Green is more muted and slightly darker, creating a natural, matte effect rather than a vivid, glossy green.
