Colour Mill Water-Based Burgundy Food Colouring
Burgundy shade, 20 ml bottle for water-based mixtures
Colour Mill Water-Based Burgundy evokes the deep velvet of an evening gown and an antique rose. This water-based food colouring is designed for water-based baking mixtures: royal icing, water-based glazes, syrups, meringues and macarons. This shade is especially popular for sophisticated autumn wedding cake royal icing cookies and wedding anniversary cookies (ruby wedding anniversary).

Frequently asked questions
Does the colour hold after the icing has fully dried?
Yes, the shade remains stable once the royal icing has fully dried, which takes about 24 hours. This makes it suitable for decorated cookies sold several days after they are made.
How much should I use for a richly saturated shade?
Start with 5 to 10 drops per 250 g of mixture and adjust in increments of 2 to 3 drops until you reach the desired shade, allowing the mixture to rest between additions.
Does the 20 ml bottle have a dropper?
Yes, the soft cap has a drop-dispensing opening: a gentle squeeze releases a precise drop.
