Uses and occasions

This square support is suitable for building tiered cakes by combining it with other sizes in the range for a stable assembly. It can also be used as a display or showcase base to present a decoration without using a real cake. Cover it with fondant for a finished look, or leave it beneath fabric or a decorative support for strictly scenic use. Ideal for wedding displays, family celebrations, or professional presentations.

Please note: this expanded polystyrene is a non-food-grade, self-extinguishing, closed-cell construction material. It must never come into direct contact with food or be consumed. Always cover it with fondant or wafer paper before any presentation.

Frequently asked questions

Is this polystyrene cushion edible?

No. It is a non-food-grade construction material compliant with the UNI EN 13163 standard. Cover it with fondant before any presentation; it must never be consumed.

How can I stack multiple sizes for a tiered cake?

Stack the sizes from largest to smallest, for example 30x30 cm, then 20x20 cm, then 10x10 cm, placing a rigid board between each tier to distribute the weight and stabilize the assembly.

Can this support be cut to the desired size?

Yes, polystyrene can be easily cut with a thin-bladed knife or hot wire to adjust an angle or create a custom height.
