Uses
- Main use: generous piping and filling.
- Suitable for buttercream, whipped ganache, and royal icing, depending on the desired consistency.
- Can be used directly with a disposable bag, or with a coupler to switch tips without changing bags.
- Food-grade stainless steel: withstands piping pressure and retains its shape over time.
Pro tip. For a clean line with the 12 tip, hold the bag perpendicular to the surface and move at a steady speed without pausing, which would leave a small bump.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the 12 tip and a star tip?
With its round opening, the 12 tip creates a smooth, continuous line, unlike a star tip, which ridges the surface. It is suitable for fine lines and filling.
Is the 12 tip suitable for filling cream puffs or éclairs?
Yes: the 12 tip is used to fill standard-size pastries such as cream puffs and cupcakes. For larger volumes, a dedicated filling tip makes injection easier.
How do you thoroughly clean the 12 tip?
A simple rinse with hot, soapy water is sufficient for the 12 tip, followed by brushing the inside with a fine brush. It is also dishwasher-safe.
